Our Founding Story

The FATE Giving Division was founded in 2019 to focus and structure the charity giving ethos of FATE Foundation’s Chairman and Founder, Mr. Fola Adeola. Since inception, we have supported impactful initiatives across our four thematic areas: Health, Socio-Cultural, Governance, and Education.

One of our most notable initiatives is the FATE Philanthropy Coalition for COVID-19 (FPCC) Support Fund, launched in 2020 at the height of the pandemic so support ongoing national and local efforts to strengthen public health infrastructure in anticipation of further strains. The fund raised over $1 million (₦450 million) and contributed meaningfully to both national and local public health efforts.

Another flagship initiative is the FATE Scholar Program, officially launched in 2023. This program provides financial aid, mentoring, and internship opportunities to innovative and entrepreneurial Nigeria students seeking admission into public accredited tertiary institution across Nigeria Within its first two cohorts, the program has supported over 25 scholars and is positioned to grow its impact significantly in the coming years.
